Demonstration circuit 1265 is a 360mA (20mA per LED) Universal 18-Channel LED Driver with twelve white LEDs and two RGB LEDs featuring the LTC3220/LTC3220-1. The LTC3220/LTC3220-1 is a low noise boost charge pump designed to drive 18 universal LED (ULED) current sources. The charge pump automatically switches between 1x, 1.5x and 2x modes to provide the necessary output voltage. The demo board input supply voltage range is 2.9V to 5.5V. DC1265A-A features the LTC3220, and DC1265A-B features the LTC3220-1. The two parts have different I2C addresses, allowing both devices to be used in a system if more than 18 LED drivers are needed./p>
The DC1265 requires the DC590 controller board for proper operation. The 18 LEDs are includes on the demo board. The LTC3220/LTC3220-1 features include On/Off blinking, gradation, intensity, and a software controlled shutdown, which are accomplished via an I2C serial interface. There are 64 dimming states available for the universal LEDs.
